Common Screw Shell

Approx Size:  3 – 4 inchesCommon Screw Shell

These are mostly tall, tightly coiled shells and are different shades of brown.

As you can see the coil shape resembles a screw – hence the name.

This species is vegetarian and normally live offshore in coarse sand or mud.

A lovely ornate shell that would look good in your collection, it would also make a lovely small gift to another collector.

Would also make a great subject for an Art project, the colours and shape would make it a good subject to draw or paint.

I have also seen them used for a number of craft ideas, including mobiles, novelties and Jewellery.
